{ having a bad day }

~ i had a bad day, the camera don't lie ~

the moment i arrive the office today, bee chew (the agent's sister/staff) called me up to inform that arie didn't pass the interview for a "very demanding" job with stanchart. yes, that means he's still not goin' here with me. my only hope is that edmund (the agent) could still get him in there, or better yet find another bank where he could get into...i'm still with high hopes though but i don't expect too much.

anyway, i'm sooo excited to go back (again?) in the philippines. i'm already not in the working mood everyday at the office and wanna go back. sigh, still two days to go...

ok, i'm off here for now. i wanna start a new layout but i'm not in the mood. oh gosh! i almost forget that i need to transfer my things up to the master's bedroom and start to sleep there before the weekend. bye!

{ i'm inspired... }

i've begun my formal digi-scrapping, at last!...i've bought some kits from shabby princess recently then started joining sketch challenge and journal-on-photo challenge...does it show proof that i'm hella serious doing scrapping stuff?

these are my scraps...

they are in the gallery of clikchicdesigns & 2peas. if you wanna peep through the praises i've received, here are they:

i'm inspired with posted comments regarding my work...they are very rewarding in some way...praises that came from scrapping veterans really motivate me on scrapping more and more and more...i love them!

{ long time no blog }

***busy with LO-making***
i'm gone for a couple of weeks and i'm back...just busy working on a scrapbook to be submitted to ClikChicDesigns for their "sketch challenge". glad i'm done with it and hope that i would be selected as one of the nice layouts. i'll also be starting out the layout for the "about me challenge" also from ClikChicDesign.

***arie's KL job application***
i'm still crossing my fingers, hoping that my honey could pass the interview he had last week from StanChart...results will be known in a week or two...wishin' & hopin'...and prayin'

***cinema weekends***
i've seen da vinci code last saturday and poseidon on sunday.

***elliott is still my AI***
sadly, elliott's gone...i salute him for being a good and down to earth man! but since elliott's gone, i think taylor will be the next american idol.

P.S.

{ idol shocker }

early this afternoon, my colleague announced the "idol shocker news" she read from the spoiler blogs around. i was really shocked of the result (more surprised than what happened to constantine) coz i'm hoping it's catherine that would be voted out. <<<>

without the thrill & suspense, ryan announced that chris was voted out from american idol. if chris didn't expect it, don't worry baby, me too was surprised!...lol=)

{ idol stuff }

just finished watching the american idol and i really loved the performances of the four quarter-finalists. truly, ELLIOT ROCKS! sorry, dear catherine, I think men will be in the finals. i predict!...oops, crossing my fingers, i mean...LOL

p.s. i didn't know all the while that almost all of elvis's songs are great! =)

{ bad dreams happen }

when i woke up this morning, i got a kinda freaky text message from my mother saying "always take care...". the fact was, she had dreamt about me saying an endless "i love you's" to her. for her, it wasn't good, hence a sort of a nightmare. nobody can really give an exact interpretation of a dream but the thing was i know it bothered her much. yes, she's being so superstitious but there's no harm in believing likewise there's no harm in following your mama's advice. well, all i can say is "mom, don't worry, i do always take care". perhaps in your dream i just wanna greet you you an advanced "happy mother's day". =)

{ my blogsite's new look }

previously i was using douglas bowman's "dots dark" blog template and i got bored...i studied css in web tutorials. by trial & error...voila! fresh new look!

1. of course, the venue - 50% downpayment >>> 14,000
2. photographer - paid with 10,000 (actually i've paid 2,000 before to a certain photographer but decided not to get his service anymore)
3. videographer - paid 5,000 reservation fee
4. caterer - paid 10,000 downpayment

...so far, it looks i'm still not leading to a "cramming-mode"...but, sigh, i don't have a makeup artist yet...=(

{ weddings 101: motiff }

i definitely consider COLORS as a foundation for my entire wedding planning. basically, all of the details would mostly rely on the color motiff.

my palette then was just mainly composed of green & pink shades coz i love the spring season, so i thought that was a perfect motiff for me:

but wait! it's kinda girly! in addition, i'll be married in a garden, i thought that it's better to minimize the shades of green. i wanted to retain the pink so i thought of something that could go well with it. until, i remembered this brown shoe that i saw at VNC before that has a pink ribbon it. it was really nice! that's a good color combo! so i finally decided to partner a dark hued chocolate brown with a rosy pink. since my fiance loves chocolates and i love coffee, both are brown so...there you go!

{ wedding ceremony and reception areas }

Picture 1 - Wedding ceremony
Picture 2 - Reception

{ the venue }

THE CHOICES:
1. OASIS...I fell in love with the place the first time saw it over the internet. But it's already booked on our wedding date.
2. GAZEBO ROYALE...We had it pencil booked for a week but we decided on getting a venue very accessible to almost all of our guests.
3. ORCHIDARIUM...Tamayo is there exclusive caterer soon (since they sponsored the renovation?). But we like another caterer so...next option please.
4. KASALIKASAN...Mom, dad & my fiance visited the place but they didn't like it since it needs elaborate decor to make the place lively.
5. PLAZA MORIONES...We had actually booked the place but for some timing reasons, we transferred to another venue also under the Intramuros administration.
6. BALUARTE DE SAN DIEGO...Final venue. (Original dream venue)

Some people are asking, "Where's the church?". The answer, "WALA PO!". I always wanted to have a garden wedding but since a catholic wedding is impossible outside the church, we decided to have a civil-garden wedding. Maybe someday, we'll marry again...this time a church wedding...

TRIVIA: Years ago, when we talk about marriage, we wanted it to happen in Paco Park Church and Baluarte de San Diego. Why? Those places are memorable to us. Paco Park memories during our high school days and Baluarte de San Diego moments during our college days. Both places are located just behind our school.

{ the wedding date }

The wedding date has been changed a number of times. Originally, it was planned on april 3, arie's birthday, just a simple civil ceremony with our immediate family & closest friends and year 2007 is the church wedding.

I changed my mind as April fast approaches then we moved it to our 11th year anniversary, Sept. 30 (Saturday). It's not a simple civil wedding anymore but sadly, the venue was already booked that time. I pencil booked the place Oct. 1 (Sunday) and...as expected, I changed my mind on the date and move it again to Dec. 30. This time, the venue was fully-booked on December so we had no choice but to transfer to another venue. Due to certain restrictions on the venue that we have booked, we transfered to another venue again and moved the date to Dec. 23...finally, we have a wedding date!

{ 10 years and still counting }

there was really no formal proposal...no kneeling down...no expensive tiffany ring thingy. we both know we already want this for a very long time, we just took time and waited for the perfect timing. all of a sudden, in god's will, it just came when both of us knew were ready and without hesitations.
by the way, the picture pasted above was actually taken the same date we seriously talked about marriage...but we're still indefinite about everything then...

{ at last... }

we actually almost grew up and matured together. it hasn't been a perfect relationship as what other people think but it was generally pleasant. after more than 10 years of being together...at last! we've both decided to settle down. i can say that the long wait was really worth waiting for.
